ABOUT US
As a young girl, I would spend my school breaks visiting Bakersfield, working in my Aunt Nae Nae’s beauty shop doing petty tasks. In between feverishly sweeping hair, I could intently observe the artists before me in awe. Over the course of the day, I witnessed a carousel of clients coming and going- changed. Spirit lifted high, ready to face the world in a new way. In an industry that, at face value, seems superficial, I would learn the beauty that is beneath the surface. After seeing the magic of the hair salon first hand, I was hooked. I would return back home from my travels with a desire to create. Come highschool, I was my sister’s personal hairdresser, my volleyball team braider, and my choir’s hairstylist. Completely unbeknownst to me, I had found my calling. It wasn’t until I moved to Bakersfield in 2018 after attempting to go to college that I was capable of recognizing how my hunger for artistry could help myself and others. Thanks to Aunt Nae Nae’s encouragement, yet again, I was ready to make my way behind the chair. I officially became a licensed cosmetologist in 2023 after completing an absolutely bitchin’ 2-year apprenticeship program. Working behind the chair has been bliss- I am humbled to find that the same magic I witnessed all that time ago, breathes through me today. Life happens! Sometimes appointments need to be canceled. I ask that if you must cancel your appointment, you do so at least 48 hours in advance. If you’re unable to cancel your appointment within that timeframe, the following fees will be incurred: 48 hours or more in advance—no fee Less than 48 hours in advance—50% of the cost of services booked No-shows—100% of the cost of services booked In case of emergencies, please contact me directly!
